I can give you hundreds of analogies for this conversation. And I have heard this comment hundreds of times. It’s not that chiropractic didn’t work, it’s because it was a one sided event. Let’s explore this analogy today. Go take three golf lessons over the next month. Don’t practice or play in between. Stay home and watch tv. After a month your golf game still stinks. Did the instructor not know what they were doing? Was the lesson wrong? Did the lessons not work? Nope…you didn’t put in any effort.

The same is true with chiropractic care. I can move your bones around and relieve nerve pressure. But if you don’t have the flexibility and strength to hold those bones in place…guess what? Your spine still stinks! You still hurt months later. Your pain comes back.

The current recommendation is 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week. Walking, biking, swimming, tennis, lifting weights, yoga, pickleball, basketball, walking the golf course… You ultimately need to stretch and strengthen your body. Stop sweeping your floor it gets dirty. Stop changing your oil your engine blows up. Stop going to the gym you get weak. Stop getting adjusted you hurt. You get it. Instead of watching dancing with the stars tonight get up and dance.
