This is a little late in letting the general public know, but there are some significant changes on the insurance side of things starting August 1st, 2015.  For the past 3 years chiropractors have been able to incorporate electric stimulation therapy, ultrasound therapy, and extremity adjustments into the treatment of their patients.  Here was the catch:  We were not getting reimbursed for our work.  Welcome to the insanity of insurance payments in the chiropractic world.  The good news is that starting August 1st, 2015 you will be able to receive better care at your chiropractor’s office since Blue Cross Blue Shield has agreed to a settlement after the Michigan Association of Chiropractors filed a lawsuit for proper payment of services rendered.  We will now be paid accordingly for the services we provide our patients.

So what does all of this mean to you and why should you care?  The answer is that now if you have a muscle spasm that is slowing down your recovery time we can use electric stimulation therapy to help speed up your progress.  In addition, we can do extremity adjustments if you hurt your shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle, or foot.  No longer will we be limited to just the spine for treatments.  We can order MRI’s, CT Scans, and x-rays and receive the same reimbursement you have enjoyed with your family doctor.

Better treatment and care for our patients has always been the ultimate outcome.  We have been providing these services free of charge to our patients for years.  We will now enjoy a symbiotic relationship with the insurance companies and provide even better care for you in the coming years.

Elements Chiropractic Clinic is currently accepting new patients.  I love what I do for a living and it shows.  Give me a call and find out how chiropractic care can benefit you.
