Chiropractic care is covered by all major insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid.  There are a few insurances out there that have no chiropractic benefits, even with the commercial insurances (BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Priority are examples of what we call commercial insurances).  For the most part you will have some coverage for chiropractic care.

I will try to keep this simple, because as I’m sure you know insurance billing can be quite confusing.  We will start with some definitions and how they apply to chiropractic.

Copay: This is the amount you pay with each visit.  This amount can range from $0-40 a visit.

Deductible:  This is the initial amount of money you pay before your insurance will cover any services you receive.  This deductible applies to all medical care, family doctor, chiropractor, dermatologist, orthopedic etc.  It is a fixed amount and typically ranges from $250-5000.  Wow, $5000!!!  Don’t get too panicked we have a solution for those nasty high deductible plans too.  Some patients have an HSA or FSA that their employer helps them fund that applies to this deductible.

Visits:  This is how many visits your insurance will help you pay for throughout the year.  This number can range from 12-unlimited.  Just all depends on your insurance.

As you can see there is a wide range when it comes to insurance benefits and we try to make it as simple as possible.  We will check your benefits, electronically bill the claims and explain in writing what your coverage is for chiropractic care.  We even have out of pocket payment options if your insurance is limited and the deductible is too high.

We are here to help you feel better and the last thing you want is to have to worry about filing out insurance claim forms.  Give us a call and we will help you understand your insurance.
