How long you decide to benefit from chiropractic care is totally up to you! Of course I like to make a recommendation for how often you should be adjusted to correct a certain condition and then benefit from wellness care. Much like your dentist would advise you to have a cavity filled and then have a cleaning again in a few months. I know that not everybody goes to the dentist every six months, and I know that not everybody has an annual physical with there family doctor.
As a general rule we have learned we only have to go to the doctor when we are sick. I remember as a kid I would have a check up before school and then hopefully never had to go back to see my pediatrician. Mostly because it meant I was sick and would need a shot.
Chiropractic care is different from conventional medical care. There is a list of conditions that chiropractic care can help you with, and I’m sure you have a general grasp so I’ll save the effort of typing it all out. Most patients do come to me for treatment of back or neck pain, following the traditional model of go to the doctor when something is wrong. I try to promote their health and well being with regular chiropractic adjustments.

This allows you to have proper function of your organs and joints. This helps prevent future pain and conditions from developing. Odds are you will have back pain at some point in your life. Statistics show 75-80% of people will have back pain that causes them to see a doctor or miss days of work.
Much like going to the gym going to the chiropractor allows you to be healthier and stronger. If you decide not to exercise or workout that is totally your choice. Same goes for your body and decision to follow up with chiropractic wellness care.
