With all the coronavirus talk and scares floating around I thought it would be a good time to remind you that chiropractic adjustments help boost your immune system. Your body has a neuro-immunological system. Fancy word for your nervous system talks to your immune system.

A virus or bacteria enters your body and antibodies (the good guys) recognize it as a foreign invader. They send a signal to your immune system via the nervous system that then releases more good guys to kill the bacteria or virus. If this communication isn’t working correctly then your immune system doesn’t have as great of a response allowing the bacteria/virus to multiply and cause symptoms.

One of DD Palmer’s original studies was on this same idea. He wondered how a person can get pneumonia (a highly contagious condition) and the person sitting next to them at a lab table does not get pneumonia. There must be something in that person’s body that enabled them to fight off the bacteria/virus.

An easy recipe to stay healthy:

1. Eat nutritious foods

2. Drink plenty of water

3. Exercise 3 days a week

4. Get regular chiropractic adjustments
